The Central Bank of Solomon Islands is seeking to recruit a suitable and qualified person for the position of Research Analyst – Research Unit within the Economics, Research and Statistics Department (ERSD)

The potential candidate must have essential minimum experience and qualification below.

Essential Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Research, Statistics, or related field.
Essential Experience
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in conducting research and data compilation and analysis with some experience in econometrics.
Responsibilities

 

  • Assist the Senior Research Analyst to perform the functions of the Research Unit.
  • Knowledgeable of research principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Possess excellent research and analytical skills with an ability to translate data into well-written reports.
  • Proficient in data collection from multiple sources and data compilation for research purposes.
  • Have strong communication skills in interpreting data, and presentation of results.
  • Assist in research trainings and seminars to appropriate standards.
  • Complete at least one working paper a year, with other papers being developed as work in progress.
  • High proficiency in statistical and database software packages such as Eviews, excel, word and power point.
  • Perform the responsibilities of the Senior Analyst in his/her absence.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
